Assalaamualykum

Monday mornings usually are of two types :1.You had a hectic weekend and just cant find the energy to get down to work.2.You had a relaxing weekend and are raring to go.

Ahlamdulillah,I fall in the second category this morning.

I wonder if anyone of you heard the debate this morning between the spokespersons of the A.N.C and D.A.youth leagues?Its something new that we are trying every now and again instead of straight forward interviews all the time.We would really welcome your feedback.

This Friday I will be delivering the Jumuah talk in the Kemton Park Jamaat Khanna and on Saturday before Zuhr I will be deliver a talk to young Muslim sisters at the Nana Memorial Hall.

With the school holidays approaching I would appreciate suggestions that we could give to parents on how to keep their children occupied constructively.

    Moulana saheb; it is nice to know that you are one of the few that find so mmuch energy on a monday morning.we hope that you continue in the same in future.

    Is it really holidays or are most of todays youngsters just taking a break from the holiday they already have in school. I mean face it there is a greater degree of freedom which they
    do experience in school nowadays. Besides; exams are no longer as challenging either.

    I guess kids today have great challengers to overcome. In an ever changing environment they are having to endure large amounts of peer pressure with regards to drugs; alcohol and even when it comes to engaging with the opposite sex.
    Kids today seem to be in a perpetual boredom; always looking for new things to do ; whether it be holidays or not. howmany kids do we see just wandering around at odd hours as if they have no homes. Howmany youngsters from good homes involved in different types of fitna's.

    it is scary to even think about where we going in the future.It seems that parents today dont really have time for their children. In a meterialistic world people are having to work long hours; even two jobs sometimes ;where both mother and father are out of the house looking for enough money to satisfy their inner desires;all the time justifying their absence from the home by saying that they working for their children ; to give them a better life.

    Children today require the emotional support of parents more than financial. When parents are too busy acquiring dunya than the neglect which their children experience have far reaching consequenses. So fathers and mothers should take time of their busy schedules and spend time with their children and do constructive things together as a family. take time just to talk to and get to know your child and you just might be surprised to see how they respond.

    Parents your presence is whats lacking in your childrens lives; Allah ta'ala has predestined the rizq of every creature till the day of qiyama ; and this 50 thousand years before the creation of the heavens and earth. Dont lose your children by trying to acquire something which is already coming to you.

    dont look for things to occupy your children; rather make your children your occupation.
